Guidelines and Instructions

1. Attendance Policy

All absences must be submitted in writing before the absence occurs OR by the first period of the day. The note will be approved by the Vice Principal.

Excused absences include:
  • Personal illness – Verification by a physician may be required.
  • Medical appointments – Should be scheduled after school hours whenever possible.
  • Serious illness or death in the immediate or extended family.
  • Absences with parental permission cannot conflict with examination schedules.
  • Students suspended short-term will be considered absent but excused. They must complete all assigned work.

2. Leaving Campus Early

Students may not leave the campus without office clearance. A note must be presented for an exit slip, or a parent must sign out the student in person. Emergency cases can be coordinated through the Vice Principal.

3. Punctuality

Students must arrive BEFORE morning assembly and be ready for the first class. Late students must report to the office. Repeated tardiness will lead to disciplinary action.

4. Behaviour & Conduct

Cooperation: Students must follow the instructions of school personnel.

Disruptive Behaviour: Actions that interfere with the educational process are prohibited and may result in suspension from class.

Restricted Items:
  • Electronic devices (iPods, gaming devices, laser gadgets, etc.)
  • Cellular phones – strictly prohibited
  • Tobacco or drugs – NOT tolerated
  • Knives or any harmful objects – strictly forbidden

Confiscated items will only be returned when a parent personally visits the school. The school is not responsible for storage of such items.

5. Behaviour on School Buses

Students are under school authority while on the bus. Drivers will not tolerate misbehaviour, rude gestures, or foul language.

Bus Rules:
  • Do not extend hands or head outside the bus.
  • No loud talking or horseplay.
  • Do not damage or tamper with the bus.
  • Remain seated while the bus is moving.
  • No objects should be thrown from windows.
  • No smoking, eating, or drinking on the bus.
  • Follow all instructions given by the driver.

6. Bullying Policy

Bullying—whether verbal, emotional, or physical—is strictly prohibited. This includes teasing, threats, intimidation, or encouraging others to do so.

Retaliation against anyone who reports bullying will lead to disciplinary action.

7. Cheating

Students caught cheating will receive a zero on the assignment. Parents will be notified, and repeated incidents may result in suspension.

8. After School Detention

Detentions may be given for disciplinary infractions. All detentions start at 2:20 p.m. Students receiving detention must arrange transportation.

Excessive detentions may lead to suspension. Parents are contacted whenever possible.

9. Warnings for Infractions

A student will first receive a verbal warning, followed by three written warnings. Parents are informed accordingly. After three written warnings, the student may be expelled.

10. Damage to School Property

Any damage caused to school property must be paid for by the student.

11. Graffiti

Graffiti of any kind will not be tolerated. Students may face immediate expulsion or fines.
